ONEIDA  |  Brother JT split

  1. Oneida - Anthem of the Moon
  2. Brother JT - Child of the Sun
Press Alcove

This is a very special super-villain team up. Oneida together with Brother JT form the psychedelic legion of doom. In the fall of 1999, Oneida toured the United States with Brother JT. Oneida opened and then performed as JT's backing band. For Oneida, it was inspirational and exciting. The impetus for this 7-inch release, then, is partially to commemorate this wonderful joint experience. No pun intended.

Oneida's cut on this 7-inch record, "Anthem of the Moon", the song, predates the album of the same name. It was the result of much dreaming, about the lost Grateful Dead album, the moon, and the political insurgent Htoo twins, Johnny and Luther, 12-year-old warrior cult leaders.

Beautiful artwork notwithstanding, these are two utterly beguiling tracks that don't appear anywhere else by two artists predestined for greatness. They need to be part of everyone's 7-inch vinyl collection.
