WILDERNESS

WILDERNESS Spotted In Truck, Kitchen, Museum and Gulch; Living Through / Part Ways 7-inch Now Available

calcUlated and elAted , staged events come and go for all rushing to fervor as self reliance adrift on the flag of veiled mirrors : { “mkultra was a thing of the pasts. the pasts as thinks of the futured” }. come again and gone before, still talking about thinking. as for me, where the property lies. as for you, where the property lies. ended as it started.

These words were telegraphed from whence WILDERNESS were last spotted. While we wait for warm months to give way to colder months where WILDERNESS will begin work on a new body of songs, we find a 7-inch that is sure to be enjoyed by all. These two thunderbolts are previously unreleased.

WILDERNESS Release “Vessel States” On CD/LP, Tour North America With PARTS & LABOR

As we welcome WILDERNESS back home from their first-ever trek over the UK and Europe where they played with LIARS, BLACK DICE and DEERHOOF, Jagjaguwar is proud to announce that “Vessel States”, Wilderness’ second full-length, is finally here.

For those of you who are just now getting to know who Wilderness are, they are an unconventional band from Baltimore, Maryland, whose apparent musical pedigree stems from the likes of the Fall, This Heat, Savage Republic, Public Image Limited and Joy Division — without sounding like any of them. Their music is every bit as spiritual as it is visceral, as nuanced as it is overt, and as communal and all-embracing as it is culturally alienating and nihilistic. The music-art of Wilderness attempts to glide above definitions or categorizations, especially those that are self-serving or manipulative.

The four comrades that comprise WILDERNESS will be setting sail once again in April and May. Their cross-hair is set on North America as they tour with PARTS & LABOR.
