The day has finally come! Volcano Choir‘s new album, Repave,is available today in stores and online! Repave is the followup album to 2009′s Unmap with a more expansive sound making for memorable recordings which will hypnotize listeners and leave concert goers in awe on their upcoming tour.
Also, a special Volcano Choir Reddit “Ask Me Anything” will happen tomorrow, September 4th, at 3pm EST including members of the band HERE. Redditors can ask the band what they’ll play this coming Tuesday, September 10th, when Volcano Choir makes their TV debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Today, Volcano Choir gives you a rare look behind the scenes of their new album, Repave.
Recorded during the final mixing weekend at their April Base in Wisconsin, with additional shooting done at the photo shoot for the press photos, the Volcano Choir “Making Of Repave” documentary offers an unprecedented view of the band’s record making process. Mostly narrated through band’s front man, Justin Vernon, the footage includes interviews with each band member, live footage from their last tour in Japan, and a look at the truly collaborative process that created this beautiful and expansive record. Volcano Choir fans, the September release of Repave feels like it just around the corner. Today the group premieres another vision from the album with the official video to the album’s first single, “Byegone”. They recruited Japanese video artist Michinori Saigo to create a mesmerizing visual for the single, previously working with him as the director of on their “Island, IS” video. According to the band, Michinori is, “a guy on the other side of the world, with different ideas and a different perspective, that somehow captures exactly what we want to say.”
